Tony Flanagan was totally smitten and bitten by the Noosa ‘bug’. He returned for the antidote and cruisy coastal attitude, soon realising Noosa was the perfect environment for an interior design business. He created Plantation Living Design in 1998 and has never looked back.

Noosa resident Tony Flanagan is Plantation Living Design’s interior design specialist. He works one-on-one with all his clients on every design element. Currently he has clients who reside in Hong Kong, London and New Zealand, plus various locations around Australia including Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Bundaberg, Mildura, Ballarat, Airlie Beach, Hamilton Island, of course Noosa and all-over the Sunshine Coast.
Design commissions vary from complete redesign; project management; working with architects on the interior design of new-builds; fit-outs and makeovers big and bijou from private residences and luxury beachside apartments to various property styles from hinterland homes to waterfront holiday renters and cute one and two-bedders. Scope includes seriously on-trend to classic kitchen and bathrooms, new-look alfresco entertaining and landscaped pool areas, bedrooms, entrance and hall-ways, also living, dining, media and office spaces.
Commercial commissions have included office spaces, a lounge/bar and a helicopter terminal.
From sourcing and selecting colour schemes, tapware, tiles, timber flooring, carpets, rugs, benchtops, sinks, white goods, TV and digital devices, ovens and stove tops to homewares, furniture, fabrics, furnishings, window treatments, shutters, security, lighting, kitchen packages, beds, linen and covers, accessories such as artwork and cushions. Working with bespoke furniture and rug designers also artisans and artists is also part of the design equation. And it all happens in consultation with the client. Every step of the way. Needless to say it’s all delivered, set-up and styled to a glossy magazine standard. Just walk-in and enjoy.
In addition think refurbishments, makeovers or simply adding new furniture pieces, bed linen and artwork to an existing furnished property
to lift its appeal and value.
